Burial in Liberty Cemetery.
Born in Zurich, Switzerland in 1862 and was a resident of Sullivan County since 1880.
In 1885 he married Augusta M Baumgardt of Jeffersonville who survives with he following daughter and 2 sons of 7 children born to them - Mrs Luella Glassford of Kingston, MI; Charles J and Louis C of Liberty. Also a sister - Mrs Mary E Moore and a brother John both o fNorwich.
He was a foreman mason and contractor on the O & W Railroad for over 15 years and was Liberty's leading contractor and builder for many years."
